Return Policy

Thank you for your interest in CarMD. Below is our return policy as of January 28, 2010. This document supersedes all other written and published return policies.

CarMD wants you to be totally satisfied with your purchase. Keep in mind that CarMD is such a valuable tool that it can easily pay for itself in just one use by helping you save time and money on automotive repair costs. If your CarMD® handheld tool was purchased online from CarMD.com and does not meet your expectations, you may return it within 30 days of original purchase for a refund (less Shipping & Handling), but it must be as it was when it was received and contain all original packaging and accessories including: CD, USB cable, batteries, storage pouch, and manual/instructions. Items received as gifts must be sent back by the original purchaser for accurate processing.

This return policy is only legally binding from customers who purchased directly from the CarMD.com e-commerce web site and from phone purchases through the 888.MyCarMD number or CarMD television infomercial 800-numbers. This policy does not apply to purchases made from other third party resellers. In the event you purchased your CarMD product from a reseller, please see their return policy or return back to merchant where you originally purchased the product.

To process your return, please call 1-888-My-CarMD (1-888-692-2763) to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Once your return is authorized, a shipping label will be sent to you via email. CarMD.com Corp. requires that you use its own carrier to ensure the successful return of any CarMD products to its distribution center. This means that you will be charged a return handling charge of $9.99, which will be deducted from your original purchase price. Original Shipping & Handling charges will not be refunded.

SPECIAL NOTE: PRODUCTS THAT DO NOT USE A PREPAID CARMD RETURN LABEL WITH AN ISSUED RMA NUMBER WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED BY THE CARMD RETURN CENTER AND / OR MAY BE SUBJECT TO A PROCESSING FEE OF $9.99.

IMPORTANT: Any product that has been misused or that shows any signs of extensive use may not be returned or exchanged. Returning a product that is not in resalable condition risks forfeiture of any product refunds. This includes missing components, but is not limited to products that: Are weather damaged from extended outdoor exposure, are not maintained per manufacturer's instructions, have been used commercially, have cut wiring or damaged components or have missing pieces or parts.

WARRANTY CLAIMS
If you feel that your product issue is covered under warranty, please call 1-888-My-CarMD (1-888-692-2763) to start a warranty claim. If the product you received is found to be defective, CarMD.com Corp. will replace or repair the unit at its discretion and will pay for all shipping & handling charges. Please note that warranty claims also require the use of an RMA number for proper tracking and processing. Warranty information is listed in your Quick User’s Guide included with your product.

DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING
If your product arrives damaged please contact the CarMD customer service department immediately via email at customerservice@CarMD.com or by calling 1.888.MyCarMD (1-888-692-2763).

REFUNDS
CarMD will notify you via email of your refund once we have received and processed your returned item. A credit will be issued to the original purchaser’s credit card within 7 - 10 business days of receipt and inspection of the unit at our warehouse. If for any reason it is determined that we cannot provide you with a credit, you will be contacted by phone, mail or email within 10 business days of receipt and inspection of the product.
